Mylands specialty waxes are particularly effective when applied to open grain wood such as oak, ash, hickory or chestnut as the pigmented wax fills the open grain to provide contrast against the closed grain. Black and Raw Umber wax are also useful in darkening an existing finish and toning down newly painted pieces. Best suited for decorative furniture and paneling.
